Account data
ChatterBeam stores the account information required for passwordless or Google sign-in, workspace membership, security, and subscription management.
Monitoring data
ChatterBeam stores your projects, keywords, categories, settings, and source-linked public mentions returned by configured provider integrations.
Usage analytics
ChatterBeam uses PostHog to automatically record coarse page categories and interactions with links, buttons, and forms. Browser events use a page-memory-only anonymous identifier and can include an allowlisted campaign source or sanitized destination category. Authenticated product lifecycle events—sign-up completion, keyword creation, first mention ingestion, and subscription activation—use a one-way pseudonymous identifier and only coarse operational categories such as sign-in method, source count, source type, and plan. Monitoring keywords, form values, element text, account emails, query strings, raw URLs, referrers, precise location, analytics cookies or browser storage, and session recordings are not sent or used for this analytics flow. Browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals disable browser collection.
Credentials
Recoverable API keys are shown once. ChatterBeam stores their cryptographic hashes, display prefixes, scopes, expiry, and usage metadata. Provider credentials are managed by the platform environment.
Service providers
Authentication, email delivery, source retrieval, hosting, and billing can rely on third-party providers. Their processing is limited to delivering those functions.
Retention and control
Workspace settings let you remove or archive product data and deactivate the account. Webhook delivery history is retained for operational replay and audit.
Security
ChatterBeam uses workspace isolation, scoped authorization, signed webhook verification, and secure session cookies. No online system can promise absolute security.
