Questions, answered.
What is ChatterBeam?+
ChatterBeam is a social-listening tool for product and marketing teams. Collect source-linked mentions, review customer feedback and competitor discussions, and use analytics, alerts, or MCP to follow up.
Who is ChatterBeam for?+
ChatterBeam is designed for product and marketing teams reviewing public feedback, product questions, and competitor conversations. It is not a replacement for customer support, market-wide research, or access to private messages.
Which sources does ChatterBeam monitor?+
ChatterBeam supports configured X, Reddit, and YouTube collection, plus authorized LinkedIn Pages. LinkedIn is not unrestricted platform-wide keyword search. Coverage depends on the integration, keyword rules, and successful scans.
How do I start monitoring a keyword?+
Sign in, select your project, add a distinctive brand or product keyword, and choose its sources. After collection runs, review matching results in Mentions. If nothing appears, check keyword status, scan outcomes, date range, and filters before assuming there are no conversations.
Are mentions collected in real time?+
No. ChatterBeam collects on a schedule rather than through a continuous firehose. Refreshing the feed shows stored results; it does not guarantee a new provider scan. Check the scan status and source evidence when freshness matters.

How reliable are AI categories and sentiment?+
AI classification helps organize collected mentions, but short posts, sarcasm, and missing context can produce errors. Review the original source before treating a category, sentiment label, or buying signal as a fact.
Can AI agents use my ChatterBeam data?+
Yes. MCP-compatible agents can access supported workspace tools with OAuth or scoped API access. Project membership and permissions still apply. Connecting an agent does not add source coverage or expose every workspace.
Do I need my own social platform API keys?+
No. ChatterBeam manages monitoring provider credentials. Authorized LinkedIn Page access is a separate connection requirement, and each source retains its coverage limitations.
Does mention volume measure market share?+
No. Analytics summarizes the collected dataset under your selected dates and filters. Mention totals do not measure market share, unique customers, or guaranteed leads. Compare consistent sources and rules, and report missing data.
